LISTENING

PLAY "SOUND SCAVENGER HUNT" WITH ME. 


OBJECTIVES FOR THE TEACHER:

  1. Preparation:Create a list of sounds related to the children's environment (natural sounds).
  2. You will need tablets or computers, with speakers or headphones to play the sounds.
  3. Game Instructions: Divide the children into small teams. 
  4. Explain that they will be participating in a "Sound Scavenger Hunt."Each team will be given a list of sounds to find and listen for within the school environment or in a controlled environment.
  5. Teams must find the right places to find the sounds on the list and play them on the device.
  6. Game development:Teams move around the environment looking for places where the sounds on the list can be heard.
  7. Once they find a place, they play the corresponding sound on their device and listen to it carefully.
  8. Each team must identify the sound and write it down on their list.
  9. You can set a time limit to make it more exciting and encourage friendly competition between teams.
  10. Discussion and feedback: Once the search is over, bring the teams together and review the answers.
  11. Listen to the sounds together and discuss how they relate to the environment and what meaning they have.
  12. Ask the children what they thought of the game, which sounds were most interesting, and if they had any difficulty identifying any particular sounds.


OBJECTIVES FOR THE STUDENTS:

- To improve listening skills in English by identifying and understanding different sounds in the environment.

- To develop listening attention and auditory discrimination skills.

-To expand vocabulary related to sounds and the environment.

-Encourage teamwork and collaboration among the children.


 By using the "Sound Scavenger Hunt" game to practice "listening" in English, as a teacher you seek to improve listening comprehension, develop listening attention and concentration, expand vocabulary related to sounds, encourage collaboration and teamwork, and stimulate interest and motivation for learning English.
