PLAY "Talk Show Superstars" WITH ME

OBJECTIVES FOR TEACHER:

-Create a slide show or document with pictures of different characters, objects or situations that are interesting and relevant to the children.

-You will need devices with internet access, such as tablets , with built-in microphones or headphones with microphone to record voice.

• Game instructions:

Divide the children into small groups and assign each group a device with internet access.

Explain that they will be the hosts of a talk show called "Talk Show Superstars."

Each group will receive a slide or picture representing a guest on the show.

•  Game development:

Groups should work together to create a short imaginary interview with the character or about the situation depicted on the slide or image.

Each group member will have an assigned role: presenter, guest or audience.

Presenters should ask the guest questions related to the image, while the other group members act as the audience and respond to the questions.

Groups should practice and rehearse the interview to ensure that each member has an active and participatory role.

• Recording and presentation:

Once the groups feel prepared, they record the interview using the devices' voice recorder.

After recording, groups can edit the recording if they wish.

Groups then present their interviews to the rest of the class or to other groups by playing back the recordings and sharing the screen.

OBJECTIVES FOR STUDENTS:

1. To encourage active speaking practice in English through creating and conducting interviews.
2. Improve English fluency and pronunciation in public speaking and expressing ideas.
3. Develop active listening and question-answering skills.
4. Stimulate creativity and imagination by inventing and acting out characters or situations in interviews.

Therefore, the "Talk Show Superstars" game aims to improve verbal fluency, develop pronunciation and intonation, improve listening comprehension, stimulate creativity and imagination, and encourage collaboration and social interaction. Through this game, children will have the opportunity to practice and enjoy speaking in English in a fun and entertaining way.
